Terrorists Prayer Guide
  1. Thanks for creating everyone in the image of God, including those who have since become terrorists. May their hatred be turned to peace and blessing. May their lives some day bring honor and glory to God.
  2. May godly, loving Christians come in contact with and influence the terrorists so their lives will be transformed by the love of Christ.
  3. Grant wisdom, protection and self-defense to those whom terrorists have targeted for attack. Give targeted nations insight regarding military action against the terrorists.
  4. Concerning the defeat of terrorist activity, may God “do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that is within us, to him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus…” (Ephesians 3:20,21)
  5. Empower Christians to obey Jesus’ commands to, “love your enemies, bless those who curse you, and do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.” (Matthew 5:43,44)
  6. Thwart the terrorists’ evil plans empowered by Satan. Cause communication breakdowns, weapon/equipment malfunction, plans to be leaked, etc. so they will be defeated.
  7. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and God’s children worldwide. (Psalm 122:6) Remove longstanding feuds and generational hatred between Jews and Muslims. Grant peace and blessing to both.
  8. In obedience to Jesus (Matthew 5:43-48) we ask for the spiritual, emotional, physical and financial needs of terrorists to be met in ways that lead them to a transforming encounter with God through his Son Jesus.
  9. Through the Holy Spirit, prepare hearts of individual terrorists to come to know Christ. May each one repent of his/her sins, receive Christ, and develop a strong, vibrant, growing relationship with God.
  10. Keep us from stereotyping terrorists. Remind us that Jesus loves and died for them too.
  11. Transform the minds of terrorists so they conform to the will of God (Romans 12:2) and their behaviors be changed from evil to good.
  12. Remind believers worldwide that the battle being waged belongs to the Lord, that an all-knowing, all-loving, all-powerful God reigns over all mankind.
  13. Do what is humanly impossible. Replace the bitterness and anger felt by both sides of the conflict with forgiveness and reconciliation.
  14. Bring healing to all individuals who have experienced broken dreams, relationships, heart and/or health because of terrorism.
  15. May God’s will be accomplished in spite of all opposition. If violence is God’s way of bringing judgment, make that clear. May God’s will be done.
  16. Empower people on both sides to speak the truth in love. (Ephesians 4:15)
  17. May God’s people not “war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but might in God for pulling down of strongholds.” (II Corinthians 10:4)
  18. Remind Islamic terrorists, Arabs, Jews, and Christians of our common ancestry in Abraham.
  19. Bring godly justice to all involved. To those repenting, both terrorists and those attacked, may each one receive the same grace, mercy, forgiveness and second chance that God has given me.
  20. In the name of Jesus, His shed blood and resurrection power, we stand against Satan and all evil, especially the spiritual blindness, hardness of heart and destructive spirit of the terrorists. In Jesus’ name we ask that you bind Satan and touch the heart of the terrorist with the gospel of Christ for whom he died.
  21. Empower God ’s people “to humble themselves and pray, seek God’s face and turn from their wicked ways. Hear from Heaven, forgive sins and heal our land.” (II Chronicles 7:14)
  22. May terrorists come to see the value and premium God puts on the dignity and sanctity of life.
  23. Use circumstances and situations to bring terrorist the love of Christ.
  24. Though terrorists mean their acts as evil, may God intend them for good. (Genesis 50:20)
  25. Empower children of God to give thanks and to rejoice in the midst of the difficult times caused by terrorists.
  26. Replace the terrorists’ hearts of stone with hearts of flesh. (Ezekiel 11:19)
  27. Help each come to know the truth that will set him/her free. (John 8:32)
  28. When a terrorist comes to Christ, bring lasting change into his/her life. Make him/her a true disciple of Christ.
  29. Give believers a passion to know all the truth about terrorism and what causes people to become terrorists. May we take accountability for our sins which have fueled terrorism (our greed, materialism, immorality, pride, unjust political policies, etc.)
  30. Protect all peoples from acts of terrorism and bring terrorism to an end.
  31. Send God ’s Word to the terrorist that their hearts be transformed. (Isaiah 55:11)
